Barracuda Networks is seeking a Senior Commissions Analyst to support the design, administration, and execution of global sales compensation programs. While this role is posted near our East Coast offices, we are open to candidates based anywhere within the United States and support a remote schedule.
 
This is a critical, hands-on role within Sales Operations, focused on ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant commission processing, while driving automation, transparency, and scalability across compensation systems and processes. 
 
You will partner closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Deal Desk, and Business Systems to ensure compensation plans are executed effectively and aligned to company objectives. 
 
What you’ll be working on
Commission Administration & Processing 
  • Calculate and validate commission payouts in accordance with approved compensation plans and policies 
  • Ensure accurate crediting, bookings alignment, and reconciliation of commission data within systems (e.g., Salesforce, SPM tools) 
  • Support monthly/quarterly commission cycles including accruals, payouts, and adjustments 
Data Integrity & Controls 
  • Maintain high standards of data quality across CRM and compensation systems to ensure accurate commission results 
  • Perform audits and reconciliations of bookings, pipeline, and commission calculations 
  • Enforce compliance with compensation plans and company policies 
Reporting & Analytics 
  • Produce regular reports on commission attainment, earnings, and trends 
  • Analyze compensation performance (e.g., pay-for-performance alignment, plan effectiveness) 
  • Support Finance with commission accruals, variance analysis, and forecasting inputs 
System & Process Optimization 
  • Partner with Business Systems to enhance compensation tools (e.g., Xactly or equivalent) 
  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times 
  • Support UAT, enhancements, and implementation of new compensation processes 
Cross-Functional Partnership 
  • Act as primary point of contact for commission-related inquiries and issue resolution 
  • Partner with Sales Ops, Finance, HR, and Deal Desk to ensure alignment on bookings, crediting rules, and policy interpretation 
  • Support compensation plan rollout, documentation, and communication 
 
What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field 
  • 3–6 years of experience in sales compensation, commissions, or sales operations 
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets 
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and SPM/commission systems (e.g., Xactly preferred) 
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Working knowledge of sales compensation plans, bookings/ARR concepts, and crediting policies 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Clear communicator with strong cross-functional partnership skills

The anticipated salary range for this role is 134,000 to 144,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
