About Slash

Slash is a hi-tech startup studio with a mission to build tech AI-powered products and scalable digital platforms that create real-world impact. Since 2016, we’ve partnered with ambitious enterprises and government organizations to design, engineer, and launch cutting-edge solutions — with Generative AI at the core of what we do.

We specialize in AI-powered application delivery, from product design and high-performance engineering to DevOps and AI operations. Headquartered in Singapore, our global team and clients operate R&D hubs across Southeast Asia. We are a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, and product builders dedicated to solving complex technical challenges and turning bold ideas into impactful technology.

Role and responsibilities, and how will the role impact?

We are looking for a senior, hands-on DevOps engineer to lead our CI/CD and automation transformation initiatives. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with strong ownership across the engineering organization. You will be responsible for establishing scalable CI/CD foundations, improving development workflow efficiency, and strengthening build and release reliability across multiple teams. You will operate with autonomy and executive support to define, implement, and drive adoption of automation standards that elevate engineering maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Transformation & Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of standardized, reusable CI/CD pipelines, enforcing quality gates, branching governance, and robust release discipline across engineering teams.

  • Continuous Integration & Delivery: Establish strong CI foundations to improve build validation and early defect detection, while implementing structured deployment automation to enhance release reliability and traceability.

  • Infrastructure & Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and containerization practices to ensure environment consistency and parity across the development lifecycle.

  • Engineering Enablement: Assess maturity levels, drive the adoption of automation standards, and provide technical leadership by integrating code quality tools and automated testing frameworks into daily workflows.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6–9 months, you will have established standardized CI/CD practices across teams, reduced manual build and release processes, introduced enforceable quality gates, and significantly improved release reliability and pipeline stability.
