Job description

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Data Dictionary - Data Analyst for their Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Data Analyst will document enterprise databases by creating a comprehensive data dictionary.
  • The role focuses on documenting existing data structures, not data modeling or design.
  • Review databases and document:
  • Tables
  • Columns
  • Field definitions
  • Create clear descriptions of what each data element represents.
  • Identify basic upstream and downstream data usage where applicable.
  • Support improved data transparency and understanding across teams.
  • Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to validate documentation.
 
Requirements:
  • Strong SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience creating data dictionaries or technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
