POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the treatment team, you will work with people who have mental health or co-occurring (mental health/ substance use) disorders. Clients may include children, youth, adults and seniors, who all come from various cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be remotely-based out of and licensed (candidacy or licensure) in the state of Colorado.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Contributing to Centennial’s mission of achieving excellence in the provision of behavioral health services that lead to optimal health and well-being, the Mental Health Professional will:

  • Provide screening and assessment to determine client’s individual treatment needs
  • Complete treatment plans which are collaborative, client-centered and culturally sensitive and include:

          • Individualized, client-centered, solution-focused goals

          • Measurable. time-sensitive objectives

          • Evidence-based interventions

  • Document client progress toward identified therapeutic goal attainment
  • Engage clients in individual, family and/or group treatment using industry and agency established best-practice guidelines
  • Be alert to and mitigate risk factors impacting client safety
  • Actively participate in Centennial Mental Health Center’s Team-Based clinical care model to collaborate and coordinate whole-person care with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including Case Managers, Housing/Employment Specialists, Mentors, Peer Specialists, Child, Family, and School-Based Prevention Teams, and Psychiatric providers
  • Assist clients in developing and utilizing natural supports to increase probability of reducing dependence upon systems of care
  • Complete all required documentation, meeting agency quality and timeliness standards
  • Manage time and schedule effectively to facilitate maximum availability for client care
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with community agencies and referral sources
  • Provide services both in person and utilizing secure tele-behavioral health platform
  • Provide crisis response services on a rotational basis
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision and on-going professional development activities
  • Performs other job duties as assigned
Requirements

EDUCATION

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, social work or other behavioral health discipline that leads to Colorado licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Registered in the State of Colorado as a Candidate (candidacy position)

Active License in the State of Colorado as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW (licensed position only)

Dual Licensure in the State of Colorado as a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC/ACD) preferred


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work well with special populations along with maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Knowledge of diagnostic methods and models of psychotherapy
  • Understanding of ethical principles and mandates
  • Commitment to continuous skill development to competently serve individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Computing skills (word processing, email, communication platforms, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible work-day hours and occasional after-hour shifts
  • Ability to travel within the agency’s geographic region and other locations as needed
  • Currently registered and in good standing with Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agency (DORA)
  • Multi-Lingual verbal and written fluency, preferred
  • Experience with communication tools for hearing-impaired clients (e.g., ASL, captioning technologies) preferred

PAY RANGE

$57,783 - 70,591/yr (candidate position) or $64,500 - $79,750/yr (licensed position)


Centennial Mental Health is an approved site for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC) program participants.   Please note that participants in these programs may be required to report to work at an approved in-person site to ensure program compliance, even if the posted role is indicated fully remote or hybrid. Participants are responsible for ensuring their compliance with in-person work requirements under NHSC/CHSC programs, if applicable.
