Job description

πŸŒ€ The Company

Filigran, founded in October 2022, stands out in the cybertech ecosystem for its commitment to revolutionizing cyber threat management with a proactive approach. Its mission is to develop innovative open-source solutions designed to anticipate cyber threats, identify security gaps, and strengthen organizational security posture.

Filigran solutions are now trusted by over 6,000 public and private organizations worldwide.

🎯 The Role

We're looking for a Staff/Tech Lead Software Engineer to join our OpenCTI team, help us drive the technical vision and mentor the software engineering team. You'll work closely with other staffs, Engineering Managers and the Product team, developing key features and contributing to align best practices, animate tech workshops and improve the overall quality of the product.

πŸ’Ό Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical relay - not a solo contributor, but a facilitator and enabler.

  • Contribute directly to key parts of the codebase, major features or critical bug fixing.

  • Supervise, challenge, and animate technical topics in your own team and across teams.

  • Promote best practices and ensure high standards of code quality and performance.

  • Facilitate transversal initiatives (technical pains, dependencies management, security issues, etc.).

  • Support and coach engineers through pair programming, reviews, and regular feedback.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Product Owners on sizing tasks and planning the roadmap.

🀝 Who You’ll Work With

  • You will report to the Engineering Manager of the team you are the technical leader of.

  • You will work closely with other staff engineers, and the technical leadership of Filigran (Principal Engineer, VP Tech, CTO)

  • You will collaborate with the product team (PO, PM) in defining the next iterations and the scope of future milestones.

  • You will work within a team of 3 to 6 developers with diverse profiles and experience levels (juniors to seniors)

🧬 Profile We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with a strong track record of reliable delivery (shipping iteratively, owning outcomes, and keeping quality high)

  • Strong experience building and maintaining SaaS products with high availability (observability, performance, incident response, scalability)

  • Comfortable working in a full-remote, async-first environment

  • Strong technical skills in: NodeJS, React, GraphQL, Elasticsearch (or similar technologies)

  • Strong sense of ownership: proactive reporting, anticipating risks, and driving work to completion

  • Able to be a force of proposal on architecture: identifying improvements, making pragmatic trade-offs, and aligning stakeholders

  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills; able to work with PM/PO and EM on scope, sequencing and technical decisions

  • This role is also a great fit for a Senior engineer aiming to grow into Staff (increasing scope, influence, and architectural leadership)

  • Experience in Open-Source projects and/or Cybersecurity is a strong plus
