Double the Donation was founded in 2011 and specializes in cloud-based software focused exclusively on the fundraising needs of nonprofit organizations and educational institutions. We've grown to be the leading provider of fundraising software that helps nonprofits and schools increase revenue through corporate matching gift and employee volunteer grant programs.

ROLE

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and design-capable Product Designer to drive product development and lead app design projects for Double the Donation’s core application. This role sits at the critical intersection of product strategy and user experience, owning the lifecycle of new features from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity Figma prototyping and engineering handoff.

 

This individual will be responsible for translating complex customer needs and business goals into intuitive, scalable product workflows. We are consistently making changes, improvements, and additions to our nonprofit software. As our web applications grow, you will ensure our product vision is aligned with our developer operations, reducing friction in the user journey and enabling our engineering team to build with clarity and speed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end product feature development, from initial discovery and requirement gathering to final design and implementation

  • Write comprehensive ticket requirements with design documentation and user stories

  • Proficiency in UX/UI design tool Figma for web applications—owning the creation of wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes

  • Translate product requirements into multi-module application designs that cleanly manage varying complexities, such as user permissions (admin vs. user roles) and feature tiers (hidden/locked functionality)

  • Proactively identify user pain points, analyze product feedback, and propose effective, data-driven design and feature solutions

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and leadership to ensure proposed tickets and associated designs are technically feasible and meet acceptance criteria

SETUP

  • This is a work-from-home setup

  • Target of 42.5 billable hours per week

This role follows a consistent daily rhythm that aligns with US Eastern business hours while giving you time for rest, personal tasks, and balance throughout your day.

Here’s what a typical day looks like:

  • Start your day with a 4.5-hour work block: 9:30am–2:00pm (PHT)

  • Enjoy your afternoon free: 2:00pm–8:00pm (PHT)

  • Finish your workday with another 4.5-hour block: 8:00pm–12:30am (PHT)

  • Sleep/rest: 12:30am–9:30am (PHT)

This structure offers a long midday break while supporting strong collaboration with US-based teams during their business hours.

  • Work-from-home setup

Note: All of these times would shift 1 hour later when the time difference switches to 13 hour differences from 12 hour differences

  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong academic background who graduated with an outstanding General Weighted Average

Paid vacation time

  • 20 days accrued annually

  • These paid days off each equate to 8.0 hours of billable time.

  • Expect to use 5 of the days during the Christmas – New Year’s period.

Paid sick time

  • 5 sick days off annually

Paid life leave*

  • 15 days accrued annually.

  • Once per year in December, you can cash out any accrued life leave time. Every 5 days your cash out is worth about $300.

*Life Leave allows team members to use their holidays as it’s meant to be – a break – whilst knowing they’ve got the breathing space to tap into extra leave for the planned and unplanned life moments.
