Job description

Engagement type: Independent Contractor

 

Location: 100% remote, anywhere in the world. Digital nomads welcome. Availability in US business hours required. US, Canada, EU, or Latin America preferred.

We are not considering candidates whose background is in unrelated SaaS sectors such as HR technology, financial services, or marketing automation, regardless of the strength of their general customer success or solutions experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Solutions Consultant to lead scientific and consultative engagement with our highest-value enterprise customers. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who is equally comfortable with the science of oncology and the commercial side of customer engagement. You will run demos, lead consultative conversations, surface customer use cases across our product suite, and partner with our AI and product teams to translate what you hear into platform direction. You will serve as a primary point of contact for several of our largest customers.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead consultative customer conversations with high-touch enterprise accounts, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech, and external consultancies
  • Run platform demos tailored to each customer's oncology workflows and competitive questions
  • Help customers identify use cases they cannot yet articulate on their own
  • Translate customer needs and feedback into actionable input for the AI, product, and engineering teams
  • Partner with the Director of AI and Data Science to ensure customer-driven priorities shape product evolution
  • Support enterprise account growth and expansion across our product portfolio, including contributing to late-stage deal conversations and solution design.
  • Partner with commercial teams on pre-sales and solutioning, helping shape proposals, navigate stakeholder dynamics, and drive deal closure
  • Stay current on the oncology landscape: clinical trial activity, regulatory shifts, competitive dynamics, and emerging science

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Hands-on background in oncology, pharma, or life sciences. This is non-negotiable. Examples include clinical research, translational research, medical affairs, scientific account management, oncology-focused consulting, or comparable roles
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical competitive intelligence, medical science liaison work, scientific consulting, or oncology-focused SaaS is preferred
  • Strong consultative communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with PhD-level scientists, clinical research teams, and medical affairs professionals
  • US-level English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Comfort learning and demonstrating SaaS platforms
  • Self-directed, comfortable operating as an independent contractor in a fully remote and globally distributed team
  • Experience supporting enterprise account growth and commercial expansion in a complex B2B environment
  • Availability during US business hours

 

Education

  • Background in life sciences, biomedical sciences, oncology, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees welcomed but not required. We are equally interested in candidates with strong applied experience as those with formal academic credentials

 

This Role Is Not a Fit If

  • Your customer success, solutions consulting, or account management experience is rooted in non-life-sciences sectors (e.g., HR software, fintech, marketing technology, general enterprise SaaS). Domain expertise in oncology or pharma is the core of this role, not a nice-to-have
  • You do not have working familiarity with oncology, clinical research, medical affairs, or the pharmaceutical industry
  • You require regular in-person collaboration or office presence
