Position Overview

 

dormakaba is seeking a Production Supervisor III (3rd Shift Operations) based in Indianapolis, IN. The Production Supervisor III (3rd Shift Operations) is responsible for leading and managing 3rd shift operations for manufacturing, fabrication, and cross-functional support areas at the dormakaba Indianapolis plant, ensuring the safety, productivity, and development of the team while driving performance across all key metrics to support the plant’s operational goals and business objectives.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $100,000 - $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do

  • Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing safety policies, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Provide hands-on leadership across manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and support functions to ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and providing real-time feedback to team members, promoting accountability and skill development
  • Support seamless shift transitions and effective communication with cross-functional teams with timely and accurate shift handoffs; minimal delays or disruptions across shifts
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and functions, promoting clarity, transparency, and collaboration. Enhanced team understanding of goals, priorities, and expectations

What we require

  • 5 + years of direct leadership experience in manufacturing operations or a comparable industrial environment, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance across multiple areas
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, decimals)
  • Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered), micrometers, height gauges, calipers, comparators and ability to read a tape measure
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with ADP
  • Bilingual highly preferred
