This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Stevia Extraction facility in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. 1st shift available; Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30 pm, with a weekend rotation.


Scope:

The Production Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers, and facility maintenance. The Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and achieving production goals, fostering relationships, and promoting Health and Safety within the facility.


Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

· Directs and coordinates the activities of the employees engaged in the processing of Stevia Leaf and the Stevia Extraction process.

· Develops and motivates team to solve own day-to-day operational issues and achieve production goals through ongoing communication and facilitation of team meetings.

· Coordinates daily inventories and supplies and other operational activities with Operations Manager and Production Engineers.

· Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

· Observes work and monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure that equipment is conforming to production or processing standards.

· Conducts employee training in equipment operations and work and safety procedures.

· Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

· Initiates and drives process improvements.

· Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluates current production estimates and outputs.

· Document all records outlined by company policies, such as production records, HACCP, good manufacturing policies, standard operating procedures, and food safety and quality plans.

· Completes production documentation, support documentation, and process control documentation.

· Enforces safety and sanitation regulations per food safety and quality guidelines.

· Responsible for initiating appropriate actions that address Food Safety concerns, including escalation to Management.

· All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing and supervision

· Superior analytical and critical thinking skills

· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word

· Demonstrates essential problem-solving methods and initiative

· Ability to perform under pressure and to solve problems independently

· Ability to communicate well with all employees and customers

· Ability to work scheduled shift and rotational weekends


Physical Demands:

· Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

· Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time

· Must be able to work extended hours, and weekend rotation

· Must possess visual acuity to document company records

· Continuous walking throughout plant

· Lifting up to 40 pounds
