Pay Plan Title: Unit Manager

Working Title: NC ROOTS Grants & Contracts Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Posting Salary Range: $67,632 - $90,457

Office Location: Remote in North Carolina.

What We’re Looking For


Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for an NC ROOTS Grants & Contracts Manager to join our team! The Grants & Contracts Manager is responsible for drafting, structuring, and managing contracts and sub-award agreements for the NC ROOTS Hub. This role ensures that all agreements clearly define scope of work, deliverables, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that enable effective performance monitoring and accountability. The Manager works closely with program development, procurement, finance, and legal teams to translate program strategies into clear, enforceable, and outcome-driven contracts. This role plays a critical function in ensuring that all funded activities are tied to measurable outputs and outcomes, enabling the Hub to track progress, enforce performance, and demonstrate impact.


*Recruitment for this position is being conducted in anticipation of program funding approval. The position is contingent upon receipt and continuation of funding through the NC Roots effective June 1, 2026. The organization reserves the right to delay hiring, modify, or withdraw the position based on funding status.



On a typical day, you might:


  • Draft contracts, sub-awards, and agreements for providers, vendors, and partners.
  • Define and incorporate key performance indicators (KPIs) into all contracts. 
  • Align deliverables with implementation phases, payment schedules, and performance checkpoints.
  • Structure contracts to tie payments to deliverable completion, milestone achievement, and outcome performance (where applicable).
  • Review all contracts to ensure clarity and completeness, alignment with program goals, and inclusion of enforceable performance terms.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Associate’s degree and three (3) years of experience in grants management, contracts development, procurement, or a related field, including experience drafting contracts or scopes of work tied to deliverables and performance; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in grants management, contracts development, procurement, or a related field, including experience drafting contracts or scopes of work tied to deliverables and performance; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside in North Carolina. 


Preferred:

  • Degree in Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with federal or state grant-funded programs (e.g., familiarity with 2 CFR 200). 
  • Experience in healthcare, public health, or community-based programs. 
  • Experience developing RFAs/RFPs and sub-award agreements. 
  • Familiarity with North Carolina contracting or grant environments.
