Senior Business Analyst

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
• Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Cyber Security Operations.
• Support the Project Manager throughout the planning and execution of initiatives by translating business needs and cyber requirements into clear, actionable requirements and deliverables 
• Elicit, document, validate, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders, cyber teams, and technical leads 
• Develop and maintain key business analysis artifacts, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and traceability matrices 
• Support the development and maintenance of project documentation such as scope definitions, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring alignment with approved project plans and governance 
• Contribute to the development of risk registers by identifying requirement-level risks, impacts, and dependencies, and support the assessment of risk mitigation options 
• Assess and manage changes to business and technical requirements, supporting impact analysis and informing project change requests and decision-making 
• Support Agile and SCRUM delivery by maintaining and refining backlogs, writing user stories and acceptance criteria; and supporting sprint planning, reviews, and demonstrations 
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to support project reporting by providing requirement status, dependency tracking, and analysis inputs for dashboards and executive updates 
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners to ensure shared understanding of requirements, priorities, and constraints 
• Support stakeholder engagement activities by preparing analysis, briefing materials, and presentations to communicate business needs, impacts, and solution options 
• Participate in solution design discussions to ensure proposed technical solutions align with business requirements, cyber risk considerations, and resilience objectives 
• Support testing and validation activities by defining test scenarios, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating deliverables against agreed requirements 
• Assist with transition-to-operations planning by documenting operational requirements, support models, and handover considerations 
• Provide advice and guidance on business analysis best practices, methodologies, and standards within traditional and Agile delivery environments 
• Other related activities and deliverables, as required.

Required Skills:
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of information security and IT  
• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated recent experience as a Business Analyst in supporting a project team in a complex environment  
• Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements in complex IT or cyber security projects 
• Strong demonstrated recent experience producing clear, structured analysis artifacts, such as business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and traceability matrices 
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable solution requirements, balancing operational, cyber, and risk considerations 
• Demonstrated recent experience supporting scope and requirement change analysis, including impact assessments and documentation to support project change requests 
• Demonstrated recent experience working within Agile, SCRUM, waterfall, or hybrid delivery models, supporting project and product teams 
• Strong collaboration skills to support the Project Manager with planning, status, dependency tracking, and delivery coordination 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization 
• Ability to prepare concise briefing materials, analysis summaries, and presentations to support decision-making and project governance 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary teams.

Desired Skills:
• University Degree or College Diploma in computer science, engineering or business administration 
• CCBA or CBAP certification 
• SCRUM Master certification  
• PMP certification 
• Demonstratable knowledge of the Bank’s functions and core business processes  
• Demonstrated experience with overseeing Cloud projects (Microsoft Azure)  
• French will be considered an asset
