Location: Remote
Position Type: Contract
Rate: DOE

Healthcare domain experience related questions :

1. Have you ever in your professional experience worked on products or models that were developed for physicians (PCPs or specialists) at multiple health systems or Integrated delivery networks (IDNs)? If yes, at which company and what capacity
2. Any products or models you developed integrated into Epic or Cerner workflows? If yes, at which company and what capacity?
3. Have you worked on any products at the health systems in the areas of chronic condition management or clinician decision making or clinical pathways or holistic patient treatment areas? If yes, at which company and what capacity? (Could even be for Nurses)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain .NET applications in the healthcare domain, with a primary focus on SMART on FHIR technology.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure healthcare applications with an emphasis on EHR integration.
  • Ensure seamless integration with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including but not limited to EPIC.
  • Implement and adhere to industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, and enforce best practices for data security in EHR integrations.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior team members to promote best coding practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare IT, particularly in the realm of EHR and SMART on FHIR.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience as a .NET developer with a strong focus on healthcare applications.
  • Proven experience with SMART on FHIR and FHIR standards.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and related technologies.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services for healthcare applications and EHR integration.
  • Demonstrated experience with EHR systems, including EPIC, and knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data exchange standards.
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform is a MUST.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
