Job description

Overview

Client is seeking a SAP EDI Analyst to support EDI transaction processing, integrations, mapping, troubleshooting, and operational support across business and IT teams. This role will focus on maintaining reliable EDI operations, supporting trading partner activity, resolving transaction issues, and helping improve visibility and accuracy across order, shipping, invoicing, procurement, and supply chain processes.

Core Responsibilities

Support day-to-day EDI transaction processing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Analyze transaction failures, identify patterns, and help resolve recurring integration or data exchange issues.

Support EDI transactions related to orders, acknowledgments, invoicing, shipping, procurement, inventory, and warehouse processes.

Assist with trading partner onboarding, testing, maintenance, and transaction validation.

Define EDI mapping logic and create pseudocode to support mapping implementation.

Collaborate with Commercial, Supply Chain, GSM, IT, and other business teams to resolve issues and support enhancements.

Support EDI integrations with ERP systems, middleware, backend interfaces, and external business partners.

Help improve transaction visibility, reduce manual intervention, and strengthen operational discipline.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on EDI experience; 5+ years preferred.

Hands-on SAP experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment.

Strong understanding of EDI standards, especially ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.

Experience supporting EDI transaction sets such as 850, 855, 810, 824, 852, 856, 861, 754, 940, 944, 846, 945, and 947.

Experience with mapping validation, testing, transaction troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Familiarity with integration concepts and data exchange formats, including XML, flat files, APIs, middleware, and backend system interfaces.

Ability to define mapping logic and generate pseudocode for EDI mapping implementation.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Skills or Experience

5+ years of hands-on EDI experience.

Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain-intensive environments.

Experience supporting EDI transactions and integrations for telecommunications business partners.

Experience with IBM Sterling VAN.

Experience supporting order, shipping, invoicing, procurement, inventory, and warehouse-related transactions.

Work Details

Remote role; candidates local to Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC preferred, but candidates across the United States may be considered with a strong skillset.

Must be willing to support EST hours.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Some overtime may be anticipated in this operational support role; approval required before overtime work.

Travel: Up to 5%.

Local candidates may be required for onsite meetings or workshops as needed, with advance notice.

Assignment length: One year anticipated, with possibility of extension based on demand.

Interview process: One-round video interview with the direct manager.
