Linux Systems Engineer
Ability to obtain Client EOD Clearance, won't be able to start until the obtain the EOD clearance, start date will be determined after that is obtained
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer with a strong background in Linux administration and common open-source tools and software to join our team. This is a remote position. Candidates must be self-starters who enjoy working in fast-paced and dynamic environments. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of
experience in Linux administration, with experience building and maintaining production systems in virtualized environments. Candidates should also have an intermediate understanding and experience with automation tools, virtualization, containerization, and cloud hosting.
What you'll do as a Senior Linux Systems Engineers will be responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining a wide variety of Linux based services. Ideal candidates will have experience with the technologies, management, and configuration of all aspects of a delivered service. This frequently entails experience with a wide variety of networking, Linux, virtualization, and application configurations.

Responsibilities
• Leverage Red Hat and Oracle Linux experience to deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, professionally challenging environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex issues that cross many functional areas.
• Perform Linux Administration using AAP, Satellite, and Chef to automate system builds, upgrades, patching, and hardening.
• Provide T3 level support for the Red Hat Enterprise and Oracle Linux environments.
• Deliver technical and user documentation as required.
• Provide off-hours support.
• Train junior team members on patching and other O&M related tasks.
• Comply with certification and accreditation requirements.
• Create and maintain SOPs.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and 10 years' experience or a master's degree and 8 years of experience or an associate degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years' experience
• U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a Client Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
• Strong understanding of change, release, and configuration management, and their interaction
• Knowledge of Client business environment and requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and use of judgment
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment/self-starter
Required Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Ansible/Satellite and YAML scripting
• In-depth knowledge of and real-world experience in automation.
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and mitigate issues.
• Experience working with Security teams to translate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) into actionable mitigation and remediation steps.
• Experience running databases on Linux (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with any of the following: vCenter, VMWare vSphere, Apache HTTP Server.
• Hands-on experience Red Hat Integration, CI/CD, Certificates, SSL/TLS.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer; Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• Proficiency with Red Hat IDM.

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of ServiceNow
• Knowledge of security fundamentals
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of cloud operations
• Possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations V3 or V4 certification or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days
