Job description

Job Title: Cognos + ETL Lead

Location: Canada/ Remote

Duration: Long Term contract

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Lead with expertise in Cognos, SQL Server, ETL processes, Power BI and scripting for data transformation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with TimeXtender Discovery Hub, SSIS, and Python for ETL workflows. This role also involves working with modern data solutions, with a preference for knowledge in Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

Extensive Experience in Cognos reporting.
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
Work extensively with SQL Server and create optimized Stored Procedures for data transformation.
Implement and maintain ETL workflows using TimeXtender Discovery Hub.
Develop and optimize data integration solutions using SSIS.
Utilize Python for data transformation and scripting needs.
Work closely with business and analytics teams to understand data needs and optimize performance.
Ensure data integrity, governance, and security best practices are followed.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related technical issues.
Stay updated with modern data engineering trends and technologies.
knowledge of power BI and other BI tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
