Remote

While we'd prefer someone local to our Bloomington IL office OR close enough to drive in when needed, we are also open to 100% remote work. However, we do not have payroll set-up in the below states and would prefer to avoid these listed: California, District of Columbia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia

Job description

Builds actuarial assumptions and models using a variety of tools, including actuarial modeling software, data visualization applications, programming languages and Microsoft Office applications.
Communicates results to direct management, verbally, in writing or in presentation form. Documents work according to actuarial standards of practice.
Works towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries.
Be proficient with actuarial pricing models and complete work.
Be familiar with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines and ensure contracts and annual testing such as illustration regulations are compliant.
