Business Consultant & Project Manager – Change Management (Pharma Vendor Transition)

Join a high-impact transition and restructuring initiative within a leading pharmaceutical organization. The project focuses on the vendor transition of a Meeting Planning Agency and internal team restructuring, while maintaining operational continuity. The goal is to streamline processes, redefine responsibilities, and implement performance metrics that support change without disrupting core business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating Model Development:
    • Lead stakeholder engagement to shape and finalize the proposed future-state operating model.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align changes with business strategy.
  • Change Management & Communication:
    • Develop and execute communication plans and change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
    • Create, distribute, and manage change materials that guide internal and external teams through organizational shifts.
  • Process & Role Documentation:
    • Map and document current vs. future roles, responsibilities, and processes.
    • Simplify and optimize processes across multiple business units to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  • Transition Oversight:
    • Develop and manage the full project plan for transitioning to a new Meeting Planning Agency.
    • Coordinate updates and action items across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
  • Performance Monitoring & Metrics:
    • Design and implement KPIs to track transition effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational stability.
    • Review and revise relevant policies impacted by vendor and team changes.
  • Budget & Efficiency Tracking:
    • Monitor project-related costs, track cost savings, and report on financial efficiency metrics.
    • Assess and coordinate evaluations of new technologies and capabilities offered by the incoming vendor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in business consulting, change management, or project management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record managing vendor transitions and/or large-scale team restructuring projects.
  • Exceptional skills in communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metric design and financial tracking.
Preferred:
  • PMP, Prosci, or similar certification in project or change management.
  • Experience with meeting planning, event management systems, or pharma-specific operations.
  • Familiarity with performance tracking tools and enterprise communication platforms.
