Senior Business Analyst & Technical Lead (Implementation of Student Information System)
Location: 100% Remote (Must work in Saskatchewan Time Zone)
Workload: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: December 3, 2025 – September 3, 2026 (≈11 months)
Extension: Possible, subject to performance and project needs.
Equipment: Consultant must provide their own laptop/equipment.
The Senior Business Analyst & Technical Lead will support the full implementation of the new
Student Information System (SIS) across Saskatchewan colleges. This role combines
Business Analysis, Technical Leadership, Testing Management, Data Migration, and
Power BI Reporting responsibilities into one senior resource.
The consultant will work closely with the SIS vendor (3D Solutions), colleges, and Ministries to ensure smooth transition from the existing OCSM system to the new SIS platform. This is a fully remote engagement requiring strong leadership, communication, and enterprise system implementation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Technical Leadership, SIS/ERP implementation, Data Migration, Testing, and Reporting.
- Strong experience implementing Student Information Systems (SIS) or equivalent enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, and UAT testing.
- Strong Power BI report development and data visualization skills.
- Experience with SaaS-based system implementations.
- Proven ability to work with vendors and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A combination of education + 10+ years of experience may be considered.
- Additional certifications considered an asset:
- IIBA (CBAP/CCBA)
- PMP or Prince2
- PROSCI Change Management
