Summary
Client is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team focused on improving financial transparency and outcomes for students. This role will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications and services across modern cloud-based architectures. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and actively leverages AI tools to improve productivity, development workflows, and engineering efficiency.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications and microservices supporting enterprise platforms.
• Build responsive front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, and Angular.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and scalable backend systems.
• Deploy and manage applications within AWS cloud environments including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver high-quality software products.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to scalable microservices design patterns.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance coding efficiency, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices, cloud infrastructure management, and engineering best practices.
• Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Experience developing full stack applications using React.js, Node.js, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Active use of AI tools within daily software engineering workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments with ambiguous requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM platforms.
• Experience with BPM tools such as Flowable.
• Exposure to higher education, fintech, or enterprise-scale service platforms preferred.
