The Role

As a Senior Accountant / Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax and accounting services while mentoring / supporting junior team members.

This position is ideal for a technically strong Australian public practice professional who enjoys team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulatory requirements
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
  • Manage the workflow for the team

About You

  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in Australian public practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in Xero, including Xero Tax
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
