The Director, Global Licensing is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth, profitability and brand consistency across Levi's licensed categories. You will oversee category strategy, licensee performance management, and cross functional execution. Serving as the category owner, the Director partners closely with the licensees and internal teams. These teams span across Design, Merchandising, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Supply Chain, and regional clusters. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Operations, this leader aligns strategy through execution, from concept to consumer.

About the Job

  • Category & Business Leadership: Own category strategy for the established licensed businesses within the Licensing portfolio, including growth plans, assortment and channel strategy and long range roadmaps.
  • Licensee Partnership: Act as the primary global relationship owner for key licensees (set strategic direction and performance expectations, manage commercial terms and lead business reviews ensuring accountability against financial, operational and brand KPIs)
  • Product, Brand and GTM Execution: Align licensing roadmaps with global brand moments, marketing strategies, and seasonal priorities; Partner with Design & Merchandising throughout the CTC process to ensure product is brand right and consumer relevant.
  • Financial Ownership & Forecasting: Own licensing forecast, royalty tracking and variance management with cluster Finance partners (communication of risks and opportunities); leverage reporting and insights to guide product and assortment decisions

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in licensing, brand management, or merchandising within a global consumer brand
  • Proven experience owning categories with strong financial accountability
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and wholesale/DTC dynamics
  • Track record of managing complex licensee relationships and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Experience in forecasting, royalties, and contract‑based business models

This is a remote role. The expected starting salary range for this role is $148,600 - $245,400 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
