Job description

This is a remote position.

Civil Engineer

Join a real estate developer with an active portfolio of ground-up and value-add projects. In this role, you’ll support multiple development projects by helping coordinate design decisions, consultant drawings, and project documentation into clear, construction-ready packages.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and update CAD drawings to reflect coordinated decisions between the design team, architect of record, and other consultants.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between disciplines, including layouts, structural drawings, MEP drawings, and ceiling plans.
  • Flag items requiring ownership input and help move open design issues, RFIs, and decisions through to closure.
  • Prepare clean, consistent drawing packages for ownership review and handoff to the general contractor for bidding and construction.
  • Attend virtual design coordination meetings, take notes, and translate outcomes into drawing updates.
  • Interface directly with ownership to confirm design intent and obtain sign-offs at key milestones.
  • Support the bid process by ensuring documentation is complete, clear, and ready for contractor review.
  • Assist with submittal review and design clarifications during construction.

Who You'll Work With:

Be an integral part of an owner-side project team working closely with ownership, designers, architects, engineering consultants, and contractors to keep multiple development projects coordinated, organized, and moving forward.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Education: Degree in civil engineering, architecture, or related engineering field.
  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Revit, SketchUp, and Bluebeam are helpful but not required.
  • Organized: Keeps on top of projects and does not let tasks fall through the cracks.
  • Drawing Knowledge: Able to read and reconcile architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline with version control and drawing logs.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, with comfort interfacing directly with principals, designers, and contractors.
  • Composed: Able to stay calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-pressure conversations.
  • Self-Starter: Able to drive items to closure without heavy supervision.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Play a central role in helping move development projects from design coordination to a bid-ready and construction-ready stage.
  • Culture: Join a hands-on, ownership-led team that values accuracy, follow-through, clear coordination, and professionalism.
  • Benefits:
    • Enjoy preset salary growth and weekly salary payments.
    • 100% work-from-home flexibility.

Work Details:

  • Schedule: Mon - Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
  • Employment Type: Full-time
