About the role

You will draft grant applications and funding submissions under the direction of the Grant Writing & Proposals Lead. You will research funders, write first drafts, refine based on feedback, and contribute to a steady pipeline of submissions across the contract period.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in grant writing within a structured, mentored environment, working on real submissions with real outcomes.

What you'll do

• Research grant opportunities across UK, EU, African, and global funders
  
• Draft grant applications under guidance from the Grant Writing & Proposals Lead
  
• Refine drafts through review cycles
  
• Maintain accurate records of submissions, deadlines, and outcomes in ClickUp
  
• Contribute to a target of 3+ grant submissions per month across the team

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short writing exercise (60 minutes) before final interview.

Requirements

• 1+ years of writing experience — grant writing, journalism, marketing copywriting, or academic writing all count
  
• Excellent written English with a sample of work to share
  
• Strong research skills and attention to detail
  
• Coachable and feedback-receptive; this role involves significant editing and iteration
  
• Self-directed and deadline-driven
