Qualifications

  • BSc and/or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM fields (Bioinformatics degree is a plus).
  • 4+ years of QA experience focusing on test automation, including designing, implementing, and maintaining test frameworks and test cases.
  • Familiarity with test management/documentation tools (e.g., TestRail, QC) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Pytest; Python programming; strong analytical skills; ability to work independently and in a team; fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct automation and manual testing, while documenting test methodologies.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the clinical platform to enable fast and accurate variant detection, annotation, and interpretation of NGS data across whole genomes, exomes, and gene panels to ensure the highest quality for customers.
  • Participate in the full product development lifecycle: define test requirements at project outset, track and manage test issues, ensure software meets acceptance criteria, sign off on releases for quality, and review test documentation.
  • Continue to develop the automation suite and embed it within the development process; write concise documentation; revise older test cases for greater coverage; develop new testing frameworks where necessary; mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct automation and manual testing, while documenting test methodologies.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our clinical platform, which enables fast and accurate variant detection, annotation, and interpretation of NGS data for whole genomes, exomes, and gene panels to give the highest quality to our customers.
  • Participate in the full product development life-cycle: defining test requirements at the start of a project, tracking and managing test issues, ensuring that the software meets its acceptance criteria, signing off on releases for quality purposes and reviewing test documentation.
  • Continue to develop our automation suite and embed this within our development process.
  • Write concise documentation and revise older test cases to achieve greater testing coverage.
  •  Develop new testing frameworks where necessary
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best testing practices across the team.



What you will bring:

  • BSc and/or MSc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM degrees. A BSc and/or MSc Degree in Bioinformatics would be a plus.
  • At least 4 + years of experience in Quality Assurance, focusing on test automation, including designing, implementing, and maintaining test frameworks and test cases.
  • Familiarity with test management/documentation tools (e.g., TestRail, QC).
  • Working knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and test frameworks such as Pytest.
  • Programming experience with Python.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Be a flexible team player and have the ability to manage a project.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual.
