Job description

CSC Generation is the AI-native holding company re-engineering omnichannel retail. We acquire iconic brands and transform them with Genesis, our operating platform combining a Data Fabric, Automation Engine, proprietary tools, and shared services to modernize operations, elevate customer experience, and expand margins. With $1B+ in revenue across 13 brands, our portfolio includes Sur La Table, Backcountry, One Kings Lane, and others that serve as real-world innovation labs.

About the Role
As our Senior Front End Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor on the CSC Generation shared services engineering team, building and scaling the front-end systems that power experiences across our portfolio of 13 brands.
 
 This role exists because we are accelerating our investment in performant, accessible, and AI-augmented web applications — and we need a seasoned engineer who can both ship high-quality code and raise the bar for the engineers around them.
 
You will work across the full front-end stack, partnering closely with product, design, and back-end engineers to deliver features that reach millions of customers. At the 6–12 month mark, success looks like you having shipped meaningful improvements to core user experiences, established yourself as a technical leader in code reviews and mentorship, and actively integrated AI-driven tooling into your development workflow.

What You'll Do
  • Develop well-designed, testable, and scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
  • Explore and integrate AI tools to streamline development and improve user engagement.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver new features and optimize existing experiences at speed and scale.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in frontend engineering, design patterns, and AI-driven development.

  • Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years building complex, high-performing web applications.
  • Deep expertise in React and JavaScript ES6/TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices.
  • Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating closely with design teams.
  • Functional programming experience.
  • Hands-on exposure to AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar.
