Role details and how to fit into the team

Join Deutsche Bank’s Application Operations team in Spain, supporting business‑critical applications in a regulated banking environment. The role focuses on ensuring stable, secure and efficient day‑to‑day application operations while collaborating closely with technology and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 application technical support to ensure availability, stability and performance of critical systems.
  • Operate and support applications across Mainframe environments.
  • Monitor applications using observability tools and proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and recurring issues.
  • Support change, release and incident management processes in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of specific application areas or processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

  • Hands‑on experience in application operations, systems administration or production support in complex technical environments.
  • Have a deep background on mainframe systems including CICS, JCL, COBOL and DB2.
  • Have experience working with OPC, EDITRAN, Omegamon and other IBM tools.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with zOS IBM environment.
  • Proficient in English for written and spoken business communication, with Spanish for local collaboration.
