BASIC FUNCTION:
Under general direction, responsible for repairs and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds of each hotel within the region to preserve Company assets in a safe and cost-effective manner in accordance with the Company’s programs and procedures. Manages necessary repairs and monitors preventive maintenance procedures. Trains property maintenance personnel to maintain property.
JOB DUTIES:
1. As requested, interviews property maintenance personnel and recommends for hire.
2. Implements and monitors adherence to Preventive Maintenance Program at each property in the region.
3. Monitors adherence to Drury Hotels policies and procedures with regard to maintenance and repairs and other areas.
4. Repairs and/or inspects repairs made by property personnel to ensure quality workmanship; further ensures that equipment is maintained as specified by manufacturer.
5. Trains property maintenance personnel in operating equipment in safe and effective procedures; conducts other basic training in areas such as electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning & ventilation and pool maintenance, etc.
6. Inspects facilities to ensure that all local codes and ordinances are being adhered to with regard to physical plant.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of technical degree in mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 3 years in mechanical and/or electrical field or general building maintenance.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: The Unassigned Regional Maintenance Manager will carry the following:
EPA 608 Universal Certification for Refrigerant Recovery
Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Requires ability to walk and stand during most of a work day. Requires ability to lift 70 - 80 pounds occasionally, and may lift 20 - 25 pounds intermittently during the work day.
HOME LOCATION: This position can be based in Atlanta GA, Phoenix AZ or Charlotte NC.
