Description:

As Administrative Manager, provides executive support for the Dean for the School of Medicine.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages daily office operations, maintains calendar, responds to incoming requests, researches and resolves operational concerns and ensures appropriate preparation for meetings.
  • Interacts with university leadership and serves as a liaison to key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Plans and organizes special events, conferences and retreats.
  • Researches and identifies venues and manages all planning to include decisions related to event set-up, budget management, catering, technology, communication to attendees and preparation of materials.
  • Composes, writes and edits communication materials.
  • Researches and compiles information for presentations.
  • Prepares and monitors budgets.
  • May supervise staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field and five years of executive administrative support, program development, project management or related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
