This is a senior individual-contributor leadership role at the heart of a distributed engineering organisation — you'll own architecture decisions, drive technical alignment across teams, and be a hands-on force multiplier for the engineers around you. The product touches thousands of users and is evolving rapidly, giving you a rare combination of strategic impact and meaningful day-to-day craft.

Project & context

You will work on a large-scale microservices platform built on .NET Core and React, deployed across cloud infrastructure on Azure or GCP. The system follows event-driven patterns — publish-subscribe messaging sits at the core of how services communicate. Teams are distributed across Europe and collaborate closely on architecture; you'll participate in cross-team design discussions and help set the technical direction that keeps the platform coherent as it grows.

What we're looking for — required

Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core 

· RESTful APIs, Solid working experience with React (modern hooks & patterns)Deep grasp of OOP, data structures, and algorithms, Design patterns 

· System design, Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 

· Relational modelling, Containerisation and Docker experience 

· Container orchestration, Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture, Pub-Sub 

· Message brokers, Strong DevOps and CI/CD proficiency, Pipelines 

· Automated deployment, Focus on code quality and unit testing, TDD 

· Code review culture

Nice to have — preferred

Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms 

· Azure or GCP 

Prior experience guiding engineering teams and leading architecture conversations in a cross-functional, distributed environment
