Job Title: Estimator

Location: Remote (South Africa)

Job Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: US Hours (9am - 5pm EST)

Salary: Paid in South African Rands (ZAR)

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate flooring estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations for labor, materials, and project-related expenses
• Prepare and submit competitive proposals and quotations within required deadlines
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and product information
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure accurate project scope and pricing
• Maintain and update estimating databases and pricing records
• Track bid statuses and assist with follow-up communication as needed
• Ensure all estimates align with company standards, budgets, and client requirements
• Identify potential risks, discrepancies, or cost-saving opportunities within project plans

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Estimator within the flooring, construction, or related industry
• Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation processes, and project costing
• Proficiency in estimating and CRM software, including Stack, Callidus, and PlanSwift
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
