Job description

Overview:

About the Role & Team

IDC is a leading provider of technology intelligence, including market research, data, events, and AI solutions. Our Corporate Marketing team tells that story through editorial content, video, podcast, customer success stories, and social. We’re building a serious content engine, and we need a producer who can run it. As someone who loves to be in the action, you will reimagine and own IDC’s podcast from concept to delivery, lead our customer story program for technology vendors and executive audiences, and drive production of clever social and video assets that earn real attention and engagement. You’ll be a key member of our Content Marketing team, while actively engaging with experts across the company to elevate IDC content for the modern age. You’ll work closely with our creative and video teams to deliver outstanding multimedia content.

What You’ll Do

  • Reimagine and own IDC’s podcast — guest research, episode planning, recording coordination, editing workflow, show notes, transcript review, social clips, and distribution
  • Produce short-form video content including scripting, coordinating shoots or recordings, and working with our video team to edit and deliver assets for social and web channels
  • Partner with campaign and social team members on creative content that extends the reach and life of every asset and episode the team produces
  • Collaborate on how to maximize occasional programs like customer events, rapid response initiatives, and seasonal research through integrated content and agile execution
  • Build and run IDC’s customer story program: source subjects, conduct prep interviews, coordinate production, and write and publish case studies featuring technology vendors, CIOs, and CMOs
  • Develop a repeatable workflow for customer story production that can scale with volume
  • Direct IDC’s content production agent stack — configure, prompt, and quality-check AI tools that handle show notes, research briefs, transcript cleanup, and content repurposing
  • Partner with the Content Strategist on campaign and nurture content to ensure all produced assets are properly extended across channels

What You Bring

  • 2–5 years producing content across at least two formats (podcast, video, long-form written) — but we care more about what you’ve built than how long you’ve been building it. Show us the range and quality of your work across multiple formats and audience types.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency — you actively use Claude and other tools in your production workflow, and are prepared to demonstrate that fluency
  • Strong social sensibility and a sharp understanding of how to build modern, influential content
  • Portfolio that shows range: multiple formats, multiple audience types — we want to see examples of your best work
  • Experience interviewing senior executives or subject matter experts on camera or on mic
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an acute eye for detail
  • A strong bias toward action, with clear iteration and improvement cycles

Preferred:

  • B2B or technology industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related area of study
  • Experience running a customer story or case study program at meaningful volume
  • Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms, video editing tools, and social scheduling tools (ex. Riverside, Canva, Adobe, Sprout Social, or similar)
  • 10-20% travel
