We’re looking for a Senior Business Consultant to strengthen and expand our relationships with top pharma and enterprise clients. In this role, you’ll focus on building long-term partnerships, securing contract renewals, and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts. You’ll work closely with Delivery Managers and our Head of Growth to ensure our clients stay with us and grow with us.
You will own strategic accounts commercially and operationally from the business side.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and growing strategic pharma and biotech accounts
Building long-term client relationships across multiple stakeholders
Leading commercial conversations and continuation processes
Driving renewals, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities
Creating and executing account growth strategies and execution plans
Owning revenue targets within assigned accounts
Managing forecasting and commercial pipeline visibility
Identifying white-space opportunities across organizations
Leading account expansion initiatives
Supporting pricing and commercial negotiations
Working directly with executives, procurement, clinical, platform, and AI/data science stakeholders
Leading difficult conversations when needed
Challenging clients constructively
Creating momentum and pushing decisions forward
Escalating risks early instead of reacting late
Working closely with Delivery Managers, engineers, architects, and leadership
Ensuring risks and delivery concerns are surfaced transparently
Helping improve clarity between Account Management and Delivery responsibilities
Driving alignment between commercial goals and delivery realities
Strategic accounts are growing through upsells and cross-sells
Risks are identified earlier instead of becoming escalations
Clients see you as a trusted and proactive partner
Continuations happen with better planning and less last-minute pressure
Internal communication between Sales and Delivery improves
Opportunities are driven proactively, not reactively
You operate independently with high ownership and minimal hand-holding
You will likely succeed in this role if you:
naturally take ownership,
move with urgency,
think strategically but execute practically,
are resilient and comfortable with direct communication,
ask sharp questions,
challenge respectfully,
learn fast,
and bring solutions instead of only identifying problems.
We value:
Energy
Execution
Curiosity
Accountability
High pace
Clear communication
Commercial thinking
Independent decision-making
This role is probably not for you if you:
wait for instructions,
avoid difficult conversations,
prefer excessive consensus-building,
over-strategize without execution,
need heavy structure and constant guidance,
focus more on talking than delivering,
struggle in fast-changing environments,
or take direct feedback personally.
Experience managing enterprise or strategic accounts
Experience in consulting, technology, data, AI, or software services environments
Track record of growing accounts commercially - renewals, upsells, expansions
Strong ownership mentality
Ability to manage executive-level conversations
Experience handling commercial negotiations
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Pharma or biotech industry experience
Experience working alongside delivery or engineering teams in a professional services model
Familiarity with AI, data science, or analytics initiatives
Experience working in scaling organizations
You will work with:
global pharmaceutical and biotech clients,
highly technical and ambitious teams,
strategic AI and data science initiatives,
and clients solving meaningful real-world problems.
You’ll have real ownership, direct impact on strategic accounts, and the opportunity to shape how we grow relationships with some of the world’s leading organizations.
If this sounds energizing rather than intimidating, we’d love to talk.
Fully remote work, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and align working hours with key client needs.
A strategic account management role with real ownership - you build and grow long-term partnerships with global pharma and life sciences clients.
Direct influence on revenue stability and expansion through renewals, upsell, and executive-level relationship building.
Close collaboration with Delivery Managers and Growth leadership to ensure clients experience consistent value and choose Appsilon as a long-term partner.
Competitive B2B compensation aligned with experience, responsibility, and business impact, with clear and transparent terms.
Time and budget for continuous professional development, including life sciences domain knowledge, negotiation skills, and industry events.
Exposure to senior stakeholders and decision-makers at leading pharma organizations, with opportunities to strengthen your consulting and advisory profile.
Modern equipment (MacBook or ThinkPad with Linux) and tools that support effective, remote-first account management.
A remote-first, trust-based culture built on ownership, accountability, and partnership - internally and with clients.
Important note: To complete the hiring process, you need to have a valid government-issued ID (for Polish citizens) or a valid passport (for non-Polish citizens).
