The Platform Unit builds tools, accelerators, and deployment infrastructure for pharma and life sciences clients worldwide. We need someone who owns the platform itself as a product - making sure our cloud infrastructure is properly architected, secured, and reusable, and that we have end-to-end CI/CD, QA, and delivery processes that work for client deployments. You'll be the full-time builder at the core of the platform, with a team that contributes alongside you.
Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
Manage and evolve Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration for the platform
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, QA gates, and deployment processes for client environments
Develop backend services and scripting (Python, Go) that power the platform
Write technical specifications and documentation that enable other engineers to deploy, operate, and contribute to the platform
Structure work and codebase so the wider team can contribute effectively alongside their client-facing roles
Ensure platform security, reliability, and compliance with best practices
Grow into the product expert who supports client deployments, upgrades, and environment-specific adjustments over time
Use AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) as part of your daily workflow
Collaborate with engineering, data, and delivery teams to align the platform with real client needs
4+ years working with cloud infrastructure and platform engineering
Strong AWS experience — this is the primary cloud and must be your comfort zone
Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments
Proficiency with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools
Backend development experience in Python and/or Go
Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines end to end
Linux experience and solid understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, firewalls)
A product mindset: you think about the platform as something with users, developer experience, and long-term maintainability
Strong technical documentation and spec writing skills
Comfort with AI-assisted development as a daily productivity tool
Ability to work independently in unstructured environments with shifting priorities
Strong collaboration skills — this is a team-first culture where others contribute part-time to what you build full-time
Experience in consulting or working with clients
English at C1 level (near-native)
Comfortable working remotely across European and LATAM time zones
Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
AWS or Kubernetes certifications
Experience with developer platforms or internal developer tooling
Knowledge of data engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines, orchestration tools)
Knowledge of R, Spark, or data pipeline tooling
Familiarity with pharma, life sciences, or regulated environments
Project management experience or certification
Fully remote work within Europe or LATAM, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and align working hours with project needs
A product-building role with real ownership - you shape and evolve the platform that our engineers and global pharma clients depend on
End-to-end ownership from infrastructure design through to delivery processes and client deployment support
AI-native workflows - we use AI development tools as standard practice, not as an experiment
Competitive B2B compensation aligned with seniority and impact, with clear and transparent terms
A defined career path with opportunities to grow toward principal and staff-level responsibilities
Time and budget for continuous professional development, including cloud certifications, training, and industry events
Modern equipment (MacBook or ThinkPad with Linux) and a toolset designed for quality platform engineering
A remote-first, trust-based culture that values ownership, collaboration, and pragmatism over rigid process
Important note: To complete the hiring process, you need to have a valid government-issued ID (for Polish citizens) or a valid passport (for non-Polish citizens).
