Electrical Estimator

Join a growing electrical contractor and support its expanding commercial bidding process by reviewing American electrical and MEP drawings. This role is ideal for someone in the Philippines with U.S. plan-reading experience who enjoys detailed takeoff work and wants to grow into a long-term estimating support role through hands-on training.

What You'll Do:

  • Work on one commercial project at a time, reviewing the full plan set before moving to the next assigned project.
  • Review American construction drawings, especially electrical drawings, MEP plans, mechanical plans, and any related sheets that may affect electrical scope.
  • Identify the electrical work required for each project, including outlets, fixtures, panels, HVAC electrical connections, signage, wiring needs, and other electrical components.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs by counting and verifying all relevant electrical items needed for the estimate.
  • Use takeoff software such as Total AI to assist with identifying symbols, verifying counts, and reviewing plan details for accuracy.
  • Enter takeoff information into the company’s estimating system, such as EBN / Electrical Bid Management, once trained.
  • Select the correct item categories, installation conditions, materials, and labor assumptions needed for accurate estimating.
  • Reach out to vendors and suppliers to request pricing, quotes, product details, and availability when needed.
  • Communicate with the internal estimator to clarify scope, ask questions, review details, and confirm estimating assumptions.
  • Flag unclear drawings, missing information, possible plan errors, or items that require additional review.
  • Support the bid preparation process by helping complete accurate estimates so the company can increase bid volume and win more commercial work.

Who You'll Work With:

Be an integral part of a growing electrical contracting team, working closely with the internal estimator and company leadership to review project scope, improve estimate accuracy, and help the team complete more commercial bids efficiently.

Who We're Looking For:

  • American Plan Reading Experience: Experience reading American construction drawings is required.
  • Electrical / MEP Familiarity: Understanding of electrical drawings, MEP plans, mechanical plans, or construction documents created by engineering teams is required.
  • U.S. Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of American Electrical Code and how electrical work is performed in the U.S. is preferred.
  • Commercial Estimating Exposure: Experience in electrical estimating is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Vendor Communication: Comfortable reaching out to vendors and suppliers to request quotes, pricing, product details, or availability when needed.
  • Software Adaptability: Able to learn tools such as Total AI and EBN / Electrical Bid Management.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to carefully review drawings, verify counts, catch missed items, and avoid errors that could affect bids.
  • Trainable: Able to learn the company’s estimating process, software, and U.S. electrical standards over time.
  • Clear English Communication: Clear English communication skills are required.
  • Long-Term Fit: Interest in growing into a complete estimating support role beyond basic data entry.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: Play a key role in helping the company complete more accurate estimates, increase bid volume, and win more commercial electrical work.
  • Culture: Join a team that values accuracy, training, and long-term growth.
  • Benefits:
    • Enjoy preset salary growth and weekly salary payments.
    • 100% work-from-home flexibility.

Work Details:
