Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of auditing experience
  • Three years direct experience (aerospace industry preferred) in basic physical, mechanical and chemical properties of composite materials; basic raw material testing methods; storage, handling and environmental controls; facilities experience (autoclaves, laser projectors, ply cutters); processing of various composite materials; bagging procedures and tooling requirements
  • Three years experience (aerospace industry preferred) in at least two of the following major composite fabrication processes: Prepreg/Adhesive Bonding, Metal Bonding and Core Processing
  • Quality Assurance experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site or remote audits of composite manufacturing processes to verify compliance with quality and environmental controls
  • Evaluate and document basic physical, mechanical and chemical properties of composites and raw material testing methods; assess storage, handling and environmental controls; review facilities (autoclaves, laser projectors, ply cutters) and processing of various composites
  • Assess compliance of bagging procedures and tooling requirements; prepare audit findings and recommendations; communicate results with clients
  • Travel domestically and internationally to client sites; prepare comprehensive audit reports and stay current with industry developments

In 2007, responding to customer demand, we established eQuaLearn, a special process and quality training program and eQuaLified, an industry managed special process personnel qualification program. More recently, we have applied the Nadcap model to other industries where safety and quality are shared values, focusing on medical device manufacturing through the MedAccred program, and the transportation and power generation industries through the TPG program.

Job description

Overview:

This Composites auditor position is an excellent opportunity for recent retirees or consultants that have experience in compression molding, core and / or liquid resin processing, metal bond, adhesive bonding, basic physical, mechanical and chemical properties of composite materials.

 

Our auditors enjoy traveling domestically and/or internationally, a flexible schedule (some auditors perform 1 or 2 audits a month, while others desire to audit every week), competitive compensation that includes a daily rate plus travel expenses, meeting new people and keeping in touch with technology and the latest developments, networking with other industry professionals.

Qualifications:

 The ideal auditor candidate will possess most of the following criteria:

  • One to three (1-3) years of auditing experience 
  • Three (3) years direct experience (aerospace industry preferred) in the following aspects of composites: basic physical, mechanical and chemical properties of composite materials; basic raw material testing methods; storage, handling and environmental controls; facilities experience (autoclaves, laser projectors, ply cutters); processing of various composite materials; bagging procedures and tooling requirements
  • Three (3) years experience (aerospace industry preferred) in at least two of the following major composite fabrication processes: Prepreg/Adhesive Bonding, Metal Bonding and Core Processing
  • Quality Assurance Experience
