Job description

What You'll Do:

We're looking for a Senior Consultant, Tax Technology Implementation to support partner-led implementations of Avalara's indirect tax and global compliance solutions. You'll collaborate with Avalara's strategic implementation partners, helping them deliver high-quality integrations of Avalara's products— within Oracle ERP environments. Rather than leading customer engagements directly, you'll enable, advise, and support partners to deliver successful outcomes and implementation quality. This is a remote opportunity. #LI-Remote

What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Collaborate with partner firms to guide Avalara solution design, configuration, and integration.
  • Provide technical expertise and best practices for partner-led deployments.
  • Support enablement and best practices for scalable, compliant global projects involving VAT, GST, and e-invoicing compliance.
  • Deliver partner enablement, training, and solution walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate internally to enhance partner tools, documentation, and delivery standards.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate and improve accuracy and relevance of responses to partner inquiries.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect tax technology implementations with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EBS.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle EBS with third-party tax engines (Vertex, ONESOURCE, Avalara).
  • Advise and help partner teams.
  • Familiarity with APIs, XML, and cloud SaaS integration principles.
  • Proficiency with business productivity AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to improve efficiency, analysis, and collaboration in implementation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (advanced certifications).
