Roles & Responsibilities

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Trainer, Solutions Engineer, or other customer/partner-facing technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Computer Technology from an accredited university.
  • Strong background in computer networking (HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, firewalls) and related software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment; willingness to work onsite five days per week; industry certifications (e.g., AWS, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, Security+ etc.) are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Be the subject matter authority on the Verkada product suite and articulate the value to customers during training.
  • Deliver in-person training sessions to diverse audiences—from installation technicians to C-level executives—adapting content to maximize learning.
  • Stay current on security/IoT trends, present at conferences, and serve as a Product Technical Evangelist for partners, customers, and internal teams.
  • Observe and evaluate training results, maintain and report on training data, contribute to curriculum development, and travel 50-60%.

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter authority on the full Verkada suite of products and offerings and articulate the value added benefits to customers throughout the training.
  • Effectively present the Verkada solution to all levels of customer, from C-level executives to loss prevention managers and directors of IT.
  • Deliver energetic and effective in-person training sessions, adapting to maximize learning outcomes for every skill level, spanning from hands-on installation technicians to C-level executives
  • Describe Verkada solutions that range from: Network Security recommendations/bandwidth requirements, choosing proper Verkada products for Physical Security and deployment, and relating these training topics to real world install scenarios.
  • Stay up to date on the security and IoT industry by attending and presenting at strategic conferences and providing thought leadership within the market.
  • Be a Product Technical Evangelist in training/educating partners, customers, and internal employees on the latest Verkada product offerings.
  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs.
  • Maintain and report on data for completed courses, absences, issues etc.
  • Execute training sessions, workshops, etc. in groups or individually with 50-60% travel involved.
  • Contribute to the VCE Program by collaborating with the team to refine our curriculum and drive the long-term growth and development of the VCE program

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Trainer, Solutions Engineer or other customer/partner facing technical roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Information & Computer Technology from an accredited university.
  • Strong background in Computer Networking required: experience with HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP servers, Firewalls and software systems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic with excellent follow-up and follow-through.
  • Able to work and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-evolving workplace and company.
  • Genuine excitement for software/hardware products, Cloud Security and IoT devices and can speak to how they work.
  • Industry certifications are a plus: AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, CSP.
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week 
  • Primary Region: Eastern US

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
