Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Mechanical/HVAC Fabrication VA

Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

We work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders across various stages of project delivery, providing support in areas such as planning, coordination, technical documentation, compliance, and operational improvement. Our approach is focused on delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes tailored to each project’s unique requirements.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Mechanical/HVAC Fabrication VA to support our fabrication and project delivery team. This role is ideal for someone with strong HVAC drafting and fabrication experience who can independently interpret mechanical drawings, complete accurate take-offs, and produce fabrication-ready outputs.

You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to help keep projects moving efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Complete full ductwork take-offs from mechanical drawings
  • Prepare accurate fabrication quantities and material breakdowns
  • Program plasma/CNC machinery for fabrication requirements
  • Create spools and fabrication-ready outputs for production
  • Perform mechanical pipework take-offs using Bluebeam
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
  • Review plans and specifications to identify potential discrepancies or missing information
  • Maintain organised project documentation and fabrication files
  • Support workflow improvements and ensure outputs meet project timelines

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HVAC/mechanical fabrication support or estimating
  • Strong experience with CAMduct
  • Ability to complete independent ductwork take-offs with minimal supervision
  • Experience with plasma/CNC programming
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam for mechanical pipework take-offs
  • Strong understanding of HVAC ducting systems and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup
