As a Data Center Hardware Technician at Ensono, you will apply your knowledge of server hardware and data center operations to complete a wide range of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks that support our clients' mission-critical infrastructure. Following established procedures and best practices, you'll work hands-on with physical hardware in data center environments, conveying technical information with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth operations. This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in enterprise data center operations while contributing to solutions that enable clients to Do Great Things.
Night Shift, 6pm – 6am
Shift: Week 1 – SUN, WED, THUR / Week 2 – MON, TUE, FRI, SAT.
The schedule will rotate week 1, 2 or 2,1 depending on which night shift the candidate falls on.
Key responsibilities include:
Install, configure, and decommission servers, storage systems, and network equipment in data center environments
Follow established procedures to complete rack and stack operations, cable management, and hardware labeling
Apply troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve hardware failures and performance issues
Complete routine hardware maintenance tasks including firmware updates, component replacements, and system health checks
Support data center operations by monitoring environmental conditions and responding to alerts
Convey technical information clearly with team members, clients, and vendors during hardware-related activities
Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, configurations, and maintenance activities
Follow safety protocols and data center security procedures at all times

2-4 years of experience working with server hardware, data center operations, or related IT infrastructure roles
Understanding of server hardware components (CPUs, memory, storage, power supplies, network interfaces)
Knowledge of data center operations including rack installation, cable management, and environmental monitoring
Ability to follow established procedures and apply technical knowledge to complete assigned tasks
Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed
CompTIA A+, Server+, or similar hardware certifications
Experience with Dell, HP, Cisco, or other enterprise hardware platforms
Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems
Basic Linux or Windows server administration knowledge

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $49,000 to $69,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
