Overview


RTX is seeking an experienced workforce insights and research professional to join the Workforce Intelligence organization, supporting senior Business and HR leaders across the Corporate enterprise. This role will serve as a strategic thought partner, translating complex workforce data and organizational research into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate combines expertise in people analytics and industrial-organizational psychology with exceptional communication skills, enabling them to influence strategy, guide decision-making, and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical analytics teams.

This position is responsible for delivering high-impact insights, managing demand for analytical support, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, and shaping the analytical rigor of workforce strategy initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Stakeholder Partnership

  • Develop high-priority (often quick-turn) insights as well as deeper research deliverables in partnership with Corporate Consulting leader and other key leaders.
  • Create compelling, data-driven stories that influence executive decision-making and shape enterprise workforce and HR strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and other teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and seamless execution of analytics solutions.
  • Educate and guide stakeholders on existing self-service analytics tools and platforms to enable independent insights where appropriate.

Advanced Workforce Research & Analysis

  • Conduct advanced organizational research using applied statistical modeling, industrial-organizational psychology methods, and workforce research techniques.
  • Translate complex quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights tailored for various audiences, especially senior executives.
  • When applicable, develop reusable analytical frameworks and tools to leverage insights for impact across the organization.

Demand & Impact Management

  • Prioritize and manage incoming analytical and research requests, balancing business urgency, enterprise impact, and capacity constraints.
  • Maintain transparent documentation of scope, expectations, and requirements for all insight and research requests.
  • Ensure visibility into broader departmental demand to inform planning and resource allocation.
  • Measure and track the business impact of major deliverables, comparing realized outcomes against expected impact defined during intake.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience 
  • Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Data Science, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex insights clearly and persuasively to senior audiences.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with experience managing competing demands.
  • Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) as well as statistical programs.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of self-service analytics tools and platforms.
  • Proven ability to document processes and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • PhD in a social science–related HR discipline (e.g., Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior) strongly preferred.
  • Experience analyzing HR data and applying organizational research methods in a corporate setting.
  • Basic familiarity with intake, demand management, and portfolio processes.
  • Prior experience scaling enterprise insights with a large, complex organization.
  • Ability to share work product examples (redacted acceptable).

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
