Job description

We're looking for a Medical Executive Virtual Assistant to provide remote clinical and administrative support for a multi-location healthcare group based in the United States. This is not a general VA role. You will be embedded in the daily operations of a U.S. clinic, handling patient communication, administrative workflows, and clinical support tasks under the direction of the client's team.

If you hold an MD or PharmD and want a flexible remote role that still puts your training to use, this role is worth reading.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • Work directly with a U.S.-based clinical team in a structured, secure environment
  • Training is available for the right candidates with solid clinical fundamentals

What You'll Work On

Patient Communication and Inbox Management

  • Manage inbound and outbound patient communication including calls, texts, and inbox
  • Handle fax and email triage for the clinical team
  • Coordinate referrals and follow up to ensure nothing falls through

Clinical Support

  • Support prior authorization processes
  • Assist with lab result review and patient follow-up coordination
  • Prepare charts ahead of scheduled appointments
  • Perform quality checks and chart audits

Administrative and Documentation

  • Verify insurance and manage documentation and medical records tasks
  • Maintain organized, accurate records across all patient interactions
  • Work within monitored, secure systems provided for client access

What You Bring

  • Medical degree (MD) or pharmacy degree (PharmD), required not preferred
  • Fluent English, spoken and written, with clear and professional communication
  • Comfortable working directly with U.S.-based clinical and administrative staff
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
  • Experience with EMR or EHR systems, with eClinicalWorks familiarity as a strong plus
  • Detail-oriented and organized: you close the loop without being asked
  • Able to work on a U.S. time zone schedule
  • Stable internet connection and a private workspace

Nice to Have

  • Prior authorization or insurance verification experience
  • Familiarity with U.S. referral coordination workflows
  • Experience in a remote healthcare support or telehealth environment

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your clinical background, and explaining how your medical training translates to this type of remote support role

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If your clinical background is solid and you want a remote role that puts your training to work inside a real U.S. healthcare operation, this role gives you the structure, the systems, and the direct patient impact to do meaningful work from anywhere.
