Defense News is the leading news outlet covering the business side of national security. Our readers are decision-makers at the Pentagon, Capitol Hill and at military bases throughout the world.

We have immediate openings for journalists to cover defense in the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Africa.

This job requires:

  • Covering important local stories and keeping your eye on defense contracts and decisions
  • Offering smart analysis
  • Helping coordinate coverage with U.S. reporters
  • Covering local government and industry officials who want to shape how defense dollars are spent
