A Day in the Life

The Accounting to Report organization consists of various finance functions and has a growing number of specialists worldwide, including the External Reporting team for the region of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). External Reporting is a dynamic and diverse team of around 20 professionals hailing from various nationalities. While most of our team is based in the Netherlands, we also have colleagues working remotely from different countries. We pride ourselves on our collaborative and inclusive work environment, leveraging our diverse backgrounds to drive innovation and excellence. Our team offers services for multiple key financial processes including Statutory and Corporate Income Tax reporting, Group reporting support and Audit coordination. It serves a wide range of Europe, Middle East and Africa region countries and continues to expand the scope.

You are flexible and supportive of change and have affinity with systems.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Preparation financial statements, audit coordination, statutory filing, and tax filing
  • Translate US GAAP to local GAAP accounting principles 
  • Coordinate with other (finance) teams and service provider 
  • Corporate Income Tax accounting and reporting for group purposes
  • Support EMEA region on statutory SAP ledger 
  • Lead and participate in LEAN methodology process improvements
  • Supporting projects and initiatives to transform, optimize, standardize, and automate statutory, corporate income tax and group reporting, also using LEAN methodology.


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Audit or Accounting with 3-6 years relevant working experience in accounting or audit
  • Experience with compiling financial statements
  • Highly self-motivated, pro-active and results driven
  • C1 proficiency level in English business language
  • Microsoft Excel intermediate proficiency level.

Enterprise Resource Planning system experience (preferably SAP) and experience with US GAAP / IFRS.in the medical technology sector are preferred.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik:  Netherlands: 51,520.00 EUR - 77,280.00 EUR | 

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
