  • Ensure compliance with US nonprofit accounting standards and tax filings (1099s, Form 990); coordinate with CPAs/auditors during audits and tax periods
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, optimize accounting processes, and proficiently use accounting software

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for US-based non-profit organizations and related entities
• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist with budget tracking, grant reporting, and fund accounting
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities Ensure compliance with US non-profit accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Prepare and manage 1099 filings for vendors and contractors
• Support preparation and review of IRS Form 990 documentation
• Coordinate with CPAs, auditors, and tax professionals during audits and tax filing periods
• Monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies or financial risks
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation
