Roles & Responsibilities

  • University degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of prior experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., SAR Part-145, EASA Part-145) and working experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., Part-145, AS9100/ISO 9001, C.A.S.E.).
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (Safety Risk Management, Safety Performance Monitoring, Safety Promotion) and the ability to lead internal audits and facilitate external audits.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Quality Management System documents (e.g., MRO Exposition, SMS Manual, SOPs) and applying RCCAs and quality methodologies/tools.

  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols; analyzes testing and inspection plans to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Identifies and recommends corrective actions for nonconformities or design problems; uses continuous improvement tools to manage risk in product maintenance.
  • Manages work transfer and process change management; ensures process control documentation and project documentation comply with requirements, objectives and contracts; drives PPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans).

Job Description for Quality System Compliance Specialist

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.

Provides analysis and explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.

Analyses and makes recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes.

Utilizes continuous improvement tools to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in product maintenance.

Manages processes to ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management.

Reviews process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.

Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product. Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.

Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

Identifies and manages risk in product maintenance primarily utilizing and driving PPAP core elements (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).

Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.

Performs escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.

Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management.

Designs and implements engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customer.

Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.

Responsible for CAAS/CAAC/EASA/FAA/CAAT/CAAV regulation actions.

Carry out duties as assigned by the Supervisor to meet team’s objectives.

Continuously seek improvement on work processes

Qualifications You Must Have:

University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM),

Minimum 5 years of prior experience in Quality Assurance,

Well versed with regulatory requirements (i.e., SAR Part-145, EASA Part-145, etc.) and working experience with Quality Management System (i.e., Part-145, AS1900, ISO9001, C.A.S.E., etc.)

Working experience with Safety Management Systems (i.e., Safety Risk Management, Safety Performance Monitoring, Safety Promotion, etc.),

Ability to effectively lead internal audits,

Ability to independently facilitate external audits,

Working experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) and applying quality methodology and tools

Working experience in writing, revising, and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) documents (i.e. Maintenance Organisation Exposition, SMS Manual, etc.), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or similar.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Strong written and verbal presentation skills,

External Part-145 training,

External Lead auditor training,

External Safety Management Systems (SMS) training,

Experience in training personnel

Experience in leading and managing continuous improvement projects

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
