Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years of work experience in the financial services industry with recruiting process experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn Workday and other HR software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships with candidates and leaders and work effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and understand relevant employment laws.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a pipeline of high-quality, diverse candidates and monitor candidates through the selection process for financial advisors.
  • Ensure alignment with the Recruiting Playbook, partner with regional leaders to enforce process adherence and cycle times, and contribute to evolving the selection process and playbooks.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the advisor group and the COE; problem solve independently and communicate issues to leadership.
  • Coordinate logistics for job boards, career fairs, CRM activity, and Workday Recruiting tasks (background checks, hires, transfers); track meetings and notes and report recruiting metrics to leadership.

The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for owning the recruiting process for financial advisors from attraction through selection and will be accountable for maintaining a quality candidate experience and adhering to the Recruiting Playbook. The Recruiting specialist will report to the Manager, Recruiting Coordinator Manager in the Advisor Growth Center of Excellence (COE), but will collaborate with regional Advisor Group leaders, regional Advisor Group support staff and others in the Advisor Growth COE to ensure a positive candidate experience while also identifying efficiencies and improvements for cycle time. The recruiting specialist is a critical communication point between multiple functions.

This can be a remote position within the US.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible to maintain a pipeline of high quality, diverse candidates, monitor candidates through the selection process for financial advisors (FAs). This includes but is not limited to, calling and discussing questions or concerns with candidates, connecting them to appropriate resources, inquiring on statues in a professional manner and dispositioning candidates as applicable.
  • Maintain alignment with the Recruiting Playbook for the recruiting process; this may include working with regional Advisor Group leaders and staff to hold them accountable to the recruiting process and cycle times and identify and resolve any gaps in the process. This will include supporting the evolution and development of an improved selection process and critical to the creation and implementation of future versions of the playbook.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the advisor group and the COE. Must be able to problem solve and resolve issues independently. Must effectively communicate with Group and COE leadership when problems or issues are identified and manage through challenging conversations.
  • Conduct Career Overview meetings for candidates on a regular basis to support the overall goals of the groups. This requires this role to understand the recruiting language, overview and key components of the career overview meeting and the ability to attract candidates to the opportunity.
  • Maintain alignment with the Recruiting Playbook for the recruiting process; this may include working with regional Advisor Group leaders and staff to hold them accountable to the recruiting process and cycle times and identify and resolve any gaps in the process.
  • Integrate with the local group leadership team, building strong relationships and credibility to update and maintain candidate pipeline and review the process for alignment with the Recruiting Playbook. This includes coaching and guiding leaders through change management from their current way of working. This role will be a crucial team member for the local group leadership.
  • Prepare insights related to the recruiting metrics to leadership team; seek to understand any issues in the process and work with leaders to find solutions. Provide opportunities for coaching to the field leader development team.
  • Collaborate within the COE on recruiting information, best practices, resources, tactics and updates. Serve as an integral part of new system integration that will occur.   
  • Coordinate logistics and details related to job boards, career fairs and other similar recruiting tactics for the groups.
  • Track all meetings and notes of the selection process within the CRM. Maintain timely and accurate records to report on process.
  • Process the logistics of Workday Recruiting to request background checks, initiate hires and job transfers in Workday and partner with corporate Workday team for escalated issues.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for the career and for Thrivent.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

 Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of work experience in the financial services industry; experience with recruiting processes preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn other software systems (Workday, etc); experience with candidate applicant systems would be helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with candidates and leaders
  • Ability to understand/learn relevant employment laws
  • Ability to work independently and work through issues and problems
  • Ability to work virtually
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $70,434.00 - $95,294.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
