Job description

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst that will enable quality, reliability, and governance for AI capabilities embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role focuses on validating AI‑driven tools and workflows used by engineering teams, with early expectations centered on delivering practical, high‑value patterns such as automated test generation and execution, along with AI‑based code scanning for potential vulnerabilities.

Rather than executing predefined test plans in isolation, the QA Analyst owns the test strategy for their work and serves as a quality enablement partner to the broader organization. They are intrinsically involved in reviewing requirements early, identifying gaps, and embedding testing approaches directly into SDLC tooling. The role validates systems and interfaces that support AI‑assisted development workflows, drawing on both traditional and modern testing techniques. Experience in UI testing is transferable and welcomed, as success in the role depends more on adaptability, test‑strategy thinking, and comfort working across tools such as ADO Testing, Neolode, Perfecto, Selenium, and RestAssured than on deep specialization in a single testing domain.

Through close collaboration with engineering, product, architecture, and security partners, the QA Analyst helps move the organization toward more automated, scalable, and consistent quality outcomes for AI‑enabled solutions.

Note:

  • Sponsorship is unavailable for this role.

  • Normal working hours must align to EST.

  • While this is a fully remote role, the final round of interviews must take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office.

  • Understand and gather project requirements from the customer, both internal and external, creating and reviewing testing specification artifacts.
  • Review requirements and identify gaps/missing information and estimate small to medium projects using any one or more estimation techniques.
  • Derive scenarios for testing, design test cases using test design techniques, document test data requirements, identify and create test data, perform testing utilizing different testing techniques, and report results.
  • Hands-on experience of functional automation tools and/or performance automation tools.
  • Promotes and recommends improvements to the quality assurance standards.
  • Leads collaboration with stakeholders or product team to communicate test delivery artifacts, results  and metrics.
