Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Master's degree or specialization in Development, Project Management, or Strategic Management is a strong asset
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or research support
  • Background in development projects, impact investing initiatives, or non-profit organizations is preferred

Requirements:

  • Develop and monitor detailed work plans, timelines, and tracking tools; track progress toward deliverables; prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items for internal meetings
  • Coordinate activities across PAIIC focus areas (enterprise acceleration, financial innovation, investor education, ecosystem development) and assist in preparing narrative and progress reports for donors and partners
  • Carry out ecosystem mapping and maintain an up-to-date stakeholder database (investors, accelerators, ESOs, and public actors) with segmentation by ticket size, sector, geography, and impact focus; produce concise sector research briefs
  • Organize project documentation and support knowledge management; suggest enhancements to internal PM and CRM tools; draft internal guidance documents and process notes; follow up with program participants for updates

The E-Volunteer’s Role

This placement offers a unique opportunity to support our partner Fundación SVX Colombia in driving the growth and vitality of Colombia’s impact investing ecosystem. By providing project coordination, research, and operational support, you will play a crucial role in advancing their key initiatives.

As a volunteer working remotely, you will actively contribute to project implementation, engage with diverse stakeholders, and help propel efforts that foster ecosystem development and channel capital toward meaningful social and environmental outcomes.

Cuso International's SHARE program partners globally to boost economic resilience in marginalized communities. In Year 7, it focuses on entrepreneurship, employability, and market skills in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, promoting inclusion for women, youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, migrants, and refugees, while supporting value chain development and market access.

As an e-volunteer, you will support the organization through the following activities:

  • Assist in creating and updating detailed work plans, timelines, and tracking tools for ongoing projects. Track progress toward deliverables and support internal follow-up meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and monitoring action items. Help coordinate activities across the Programa de Apoyo a la Inversión de Impacto en Colombia - PAIIC’s focus areas, including enterprise acceleration, financial innovation, investor education, and ecosystem development. Aid in the preparation of narrative and progress reports for donors and partners.
  • Carry out structured ecosystem mapping exercises, such as identifying and categorizing impact investors, accelerators, ESOs, and relevant public actors. Create and maintain an up-to-date stakeholder database, segmented by ticket size, sector, geography, and impact focus. Produce concise research briefs on key sectors like climate action, rural development, and gender lens investing. Follow up regularly with program participants for updates.
  • Knowledge Management and Internal Systems: Organize and systematize project documentation within shared folders. Suggest enhancements to internal project management and CRM tools. Assist in drafting internal guidance documents and process notes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Asset: A Master’s degree or specialization in Development, Project Management, or Strategic Management is considered a strong asset.

Essential Background:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or research support.
  • Proven ability to manage work plans, timelines, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination.
  • Background in development projects, impact investing initiatives, or non-profit organizations is preferred.
