Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or related discipline
  • Professional certification (CIA, CRMA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CISA, or equivalent) preferred or in progress
  • Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or governance roles
  • Strong working knowledge of internal control frameworks and IIA Standards

Requirements:

  • Design, implement, and maintain an effective Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework aligned with recognized standards
  • Identify, assess, and monitor key risks across business units, including risk registers, risk appetite statements, and key risk indicators
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive compliance framework ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Plan and execute a risk-based internal audit programme, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management processes

We are looking for an experienced and highly professional Compliance & Risk Manager to strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance across our diversified operations. This role provides independent assurance and advisory support to senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee, ensuring the organization operates in line with applicable laws, regulations, and best-practice governance standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks while fostering a strong culture of compliance, accountability, and ethical conduct.

THE ROLE: 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain an effective Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework aligned with recognized standards.

  • Identify, assess, and monitor key risks across business units, including the maintenance of risk registers, risk appetite statements, and key risk indicators.

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Plan and execute a risk-based internal audit programme, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management processes.

  • Prepare clear, timely risk, compliance, and audit reports for senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee.

  • Provide independent advisory support on new initiatives, systems, process changes, and major projects.

  • Promote a strong risk and compliance culture through training, awareness programmes, and ongoing engagement with management and staff.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certification (CIA, CRMA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CISA, or equivalent) preferred or in progress.

  • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or governance roles.

  • Experience in diversified, multi-entity, or regulated environments is an asset.

  • Strong working knowledge of internal control frameworks, and IIA Standards.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with high levels of integrity and professional judgment.
