Minimum Qualifications:
Valid License as an APRN by the State of Arkansas Required and National Board Certification for Nurse-Midwifery, Prescriptive authority and DEA license is required but may be obtained after hire. Will consider a new CNM graduate.
The in-person response time requirement is 2 hours.
Demonstrated communication (written and oral) problem-solving, leadership and collaborative skills, strong patient advocacy and patient education skills.

Responsibilities:
Provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and women’s health care services.
Performs comprehensive health assessments and establishing diagnoses.
Develops and implementing treatment and care plans.
Prescribes medications, therapies, and diagnostic tests within APRN scope.
Triages patients presenting to Labor & Delivery.
Manages laboring patients independently or collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians.
Monitors fetal and maternal well-being during pregnancy and birth.
Provides newborn care during the first 28 days of life.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and specialists
Supports evidence-based, low-intervention, patient-centered maternity care.
Consults or referring to physicians when complications arise.
Documents patient care and maintaining compliance with APRN and hospital standards.
May perform other duties as assigned.
